3:16 on 3/16 Prayer Guide

This devotional guide encourages you to read Scripture and pray three times each day for 16 days, concluding on March 16, 2025, when John 3:16 will be preached in participating churches across our nation. There are three aspects for reading and prayer each day, taken from the first part of John 3:16: “For God so loved the world …”

Morning: recognize who God is as Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

Noon: recognize the love of God, a love that has been demonstrated in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Evening: recognize the purpose of Christ’s coming: to save sinners.

As you read these verses, focus on that specific aspect in the passage and allow it to guide you as you pray. May this time of reading and prayer open our eyes to these aspects of God’s love for the lost and challenge us to pray for the lost in a new and compassionate way. May our prayers bring about a fruitful response to the message of the gospel.
