Mission Statement
The biblical foundation of our Food Bank Program is found in the book of Matthew; Chapter 25 verses 35 and 40. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. …Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.”
As a Christian body we believe that no one should go hungry, or be cold, or due to isolation go without food. It is the mission of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Food Bank Program to address each of these areas of need. We treat all those who are in need equally with compassion, dignity, and respect.
